Plastofoam

Polystyrene isolation system is called Plastofoam in Iran market which is produced and supplied by Piroozbam company with name "Piroozfoam". This product is made by expanding EPS raw beads in some levels that its result is an acoustic, thermal and cold and very cost-effective and efficient isolator for structures.

Some of the consumption methods of using this product are in building industry, cooling industries, packing, and furniture like armchairs and sofas. Nowadays, ceramic and cement blocks are replaced with EPS ones in ceiling and walls.

Some of the specifications of Plastofoam are:

·         Flame resistance;

·         Having lighter build about 180kg per square meter, because every square meter of EPS block is around 3kg, whereas every m² of cement block is 180kg and for ceramic block its about 120kg;

·         Easy cutting;

·         Being fast in installation;

·         Thickness reduction of floor to about 5cm due to crossing cables and tubes inside the block;

·         More resistance of structure;

·         Easy for putting stucco and economizing till 15% in building ( with tracks on the block for better adhesion);

·         Permanence and security against earthquake because of density and beading of block and elastic quality;

·         Economizing for reduction in using iron wares till about 20% and also in concrete beams;

·         100% acoustic and thermal isolator and not freezable;

·         Reduction in cost of roof molding;

·         Safe and without dangerous accidents for workers while transferring;

·         Without bins and trashes;

·         Saving in concrete on the roof till 15%;

Impenetrability for insects.

These specifications cause vast and increasing use of EPS blocks.

Plastofoam is supported by house ministry and some other centers in Iran and also by fire department.
